History

Of the Grand Turk dive shops, Blue Water Divers is the longest continually-running dive operator on island and has kept true through the years to our word of maintaining excellent customer service with a focus on environmental education. We are the only PADI 5 Star Dive Center in Grand Turk and have received the PADI Green Star Award. We are also the only 100% AWARE dive shop in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Safety, environmental responsibility, and personal service have been the cornerstones of our business for over thirty years now!

The Columbus Landfall National Marine Park is located on the leeward side of our island and provides over 40 named dive sites to choose from, all located only ¼ to ½ mile offshore. We make sure that our divers avoid the crowds by maintaining a small group policy. Our staff are extremely knowledgeable individuals who are dedicated and environmentally aware.

The Turks and Caicos Islands is a country consisting of over 40 islands and cays (pronounced “keys”), only eight of which are inhabited. We are located on the island of Grand Turk, which is one of the most peaceful, relaxed islands in Turks and Caicos, boasting lovely white sandy beaches as well healthy wall diving just ten minutes from shore. Our office and retail store are located on the property of the Osprey Beach Hotel, which is conveniently located in town.

Grand Turk is only 7 miles long and 1.5 miles wide at its widest point. This small, unique island is one of the Turks Islands, located approximately 80 miles from the island of Providenciales (also known as Provo, which is one of the Caicos Islands) and can be reached by a short 25 minute commuter flight from Provo. Many airlines provide direct flight service into Provo from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom and there are multiple flights daily between Provo and Grand Turk.
